Admissions are the responsibility of the Governing Body. The Admissions Panel is made up of school Governors and meets each spring to consider nursery and reception applications for the forthcoming academic year. Closing dates for applications are advertised locally and in the Archer newspaper. A waiting list is maintained and when vacancies occur, places are allocated according to the admissions criteria.
The school’s supplementary application forms need to be fully completed and returned to the school office with all of the documentation requested.
In addition if you are applying for reception you will need to complete the London Borough of Barnet’s Common Application Form. Reception applications are managed by the local authority, following the school’s criteria. Even though a child attends Holy Trinity nursery this application procedure must be followed as attendance at Nursery has no bearing on admission into Reception class at the school.
There is no right of Appeal to Nursery as nursery education is not statutory.
However there is a right of appeal for other age groups.
The Governing Body reviews the admissions criteria annually. Holy Trinity’s policy follows national and Local Authority guidelines and is ratified by the London Diocesan Board for Schools.

As we are a chuch school preferance is obviuosly given to families who attend church regularly (see admissions policy), however
in the past few years a number of places in reception and nursery have been allocated on the basis of distance from school
